Concert by The Creek

“The town of Hampton never ceases to amaze me, and Saturday night was no exception.” Those were the words of Laura Myers who, with her husband, Chris Rendell, organized Hampton-Piggs Peak Partnership’s 12th Concert by the Creek, an annual fundraiser for education in Swaziland.

Laura had good reason to be amazed. It was, in short, our most successful CBTC ever! We raised over $6200 but, more than that, the music was amazing, and we had a great crowd both in person an online. This year’s concert brought additional challenges – adhering to COVID protocols and streaming the event online for the first time – but Chris and Laura ensured the venue was safe (with distancing and masks) and handled all the technological issues like pros.

Thank you to all the incredibly talented performers – Richard Brown and Mike Scott; Magnus LaBillois; Doug Farrell; Paige Stevenson; Sarah Cummings; Jill Toner; Derek Doucet; and Bill Preeper and Sandy Mackay.
